Who Writes This

This site has no byline and does not pretend to one. It is written by an editorial desk, not by a guide who lives in Amsterdam, and nothing on it is told as a personal story. That is a deliberate choice: inventing a local persona would make every first-person sentence a small lie, and the work here is comparison and checking rather than memoir. Every product page describes a listing we have read, not a tour we have taken, and it says so.

How the Figures Here Are Checked

Every rating, review count and from-price here is the operator's own published figure, read single-locale so a currency or country setting cannot quietly change it. Each price is read twice, in separate passes, and the two reads are compared. Where they disagree the page does not guess: it points you at the live listing for the current figure. Ratings are reproduced exactly as published, never rounded up, and a listing with no reviews yet is shown as having none rather than being quietly dropped.

How This Site Makes Money

Some links here are affiliate links, and they cover more than tours: attraction tickets, places to stay, train and bus travel, car rental, airport transfers, luggage storage, travel eSIMs and flights. If you book through one, the provider pays us a commission and you pay the same price you would have paid anyway. It never affects which experiences we cover or the order they appear in. The free GuruWalk walks pay us nothing, no operator can buy a place here, and the full detail is on our disclosure page.

What This Site Will Not Do

It will not invent a visit it did not make, quote a figure it cannot point at, or tell you a ticket is bookable when it is not. Anne Frank House sells only through its own website on a fixed release schedule, so that is what the page says, rather than steering you at a reseller that does not exist. Keukenhof is open between 19 March and 10 May and no page here will imply otherwise. Nothing is ranked by what it pays, no urgency is manufactured, and no free walk is dressed up as one of our own products.
